Demand planning had been operating for 12 years with the Oracle Demantra solution, while supply planning was performed in several non-integrated tools and at the end adjustments were made in Excel. It was necessary to implement a cloud solution, which would produce the following benefits:
1) Improved total cost of ownership.
2) Reduction of administration and support efforts.
3) Upgrade and improve the demand planning solution.
4) Implement integrated supply planning solution with improved daily planning turnaround time.
5) Direct communication with your ERP Oracle EBS.
Solutions
In demand planning, a customized design and implementation was carried out for short and medium term, from advanced statistical forecasting, through industry-specific adjustments to collaboration with major customers.
In supply planning, DC plus special controls for VMI were implemented as standard. APEX solution was developed for the daily distribution plan considering support between branches and poverty distribution in the event of shortages based on target inventory coverage levels. Introduced the concept of target inventory and inventory to be replenished based on days of demand coverage.
Implemented the collaboration solution with suppliers to confirm purchase plans to laboratories.
Integration with EBS was carried out with a tool specialized in handling high volumes of information. Sales history and all information on the current status of the supply chain is taken from EBS and immediate purchase and transfer plans are returned.
Annual support is agreed for the implemented solutions.
