Implement OTM for planning, execution, and control of the company’s primary and secondary network, including final customer delivery for various products, such as grain and other raw materials (Commodities)
The implementation must integrate with a non-Oracle ERP system for order taking and trip expense accounting.
Solutions
A custom design was created with central planners at each distribution center and complex rate schemes to handle the wide variety of services offered.
The ERP interface was developed using OIC to enable online order intake and regular submission of trip expenses for accounting after control desk approval.
An OIC integration with the GPS provider was implemented to display trip progress along the planned route in OTM.
A comprehensive and customized reporting system with dashboards was developed to track and measure activity.
The Guadalajara distribution center went live, and rollouts to other distribution centers are planned soon.
Ongoing support is provided to implement enhancements, such as expanding the GPS provider interface to automate event notifications without human intervention.
